SOFIA USMAN
Sofia is a young development professional currently pursuing her master’s in development studies at the University of Cambridge. She has previously studied Business and Management in her undergrad and is passionate about technology and sustainability. She is passionate about working in the social impact space particularly focusing on the SDGs. In the past, she worked with an e-learning company focusing on education in developing countries and is currently working with UNDP. Her work mainly focuses on knowledge management, systems transformations and data analysis. She wants to later pursue a career in social impact consulting, creating a nexus between business operations and social development.
She is a co-founder, director of operations and digital strategist at SDG 18 Voices showing her commitment to the cause and empowering youth to be changemakers. She strongly believes in youth equity and the power of youth. She wants to amplify the voices of the youth and give them a platform to speak up. Sofia is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and has pushed for this at her university and workplace alike.
