Gina is a Colombian ecofeminist that believes in a systemic transformation where the pillars of empathy, diversity and trustworthiness can guide our path to achieve a life in dignity for all. As co-founder of SDG18 Voices, she strives to empower youth through the amplification of their voices and meaningful participation with the purpose of catalyzing a global movement towards a just and sustainable world. She is currently working on gender and climate change policy issues at the international organization Women Engage for a Common Future and is part of the Colombian collective Aluna Minga in Munich.
She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad El Bosque, a Master's degree in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), with additional studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She is part of various youth and feminist networks such as the Heinrich-Böll Stiftung, Global Solutions Initiative and the Women and Gender Constituency from the UNFCCC.
